Essie Leggy Legend Fall 2015 Collection - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, July 29, 2015
Hi everyone!

I have the first Fall collection to share with you all today!  It's the new Leggy Legend Fall 2015 Collection by Essie.

I randomly saw this collection pop up online the other day, so I ordered them immediately as I haven't seen them anywhere else yet.  I'm a huge fan of Essie, but even more so a fan of the Fall / Winter collections, which are always pretty exciting, I think!  I can't wait to share these with you, and I hope you all enjoy the swatches!

Essie Leggy Legend Fall 2015 Collection Swatches

Essie Leggy Legend Fall 2015 Collection

Color Binge is a bright, bright red that leans quite orange, or maybe coral.  I swear this is the sort of red I've been dreaming of; it's practically neon.  The formula is absolute perfection, a definite one coat wonder.  I'm wearing one coat without top coat in the photo below.

In the Lobby is a burgundy jelly.  It leans slightly more purple than red which is lovely, but it was a bit patchy as I was applying it, so I'd recommend waiting a little while between coats.  Since it's quite dark it's not that noticeable, but if this was a lighter shade you'd definitely notice.  It's still a gorgeous color, and I'll be wearing this a lot throughout the season, for sure.  I'm wearing two coats without top coat in the photo below.

Frock 'N Roll is a greyish-taupe creme with a strong hint of purple, packed with silver flake shimmer.  I absolutely love this polish, and I'd say it's very unique to my collection.  This is one of those shades that are just so perfect to wear in the Fall / Winter, or whenever you just want something neutral but also special at the same time.  I'm wearing two coats without top coat in the photo below.

Leggy Legend is a molten bronze with a strong flash of gold and little red flakes of shimmer if you look closely.  This is another perfect fall shade, and the little red flakes of shimmer really add something special and remind me of transitioning leaves.  It has a really nice formula, and for a metallic shade the brush strokes aren't obvious at all, especially once you add a layer of top coat.  I'm wearing two coats without top coat in the photo below.

With the Band is a rusty, brick red creme.  I wasn't expecting this one to be as bright as it is because it looks a bit muted in the bottle, but it's a really gorgeous red that's very flattering.  I'm wearing one coat without top coat in the photo below.

Bell-Bottom Blues is a navy creme with a strong flash of teal shimmer.  In the bottle, it appears to have a purple duochrome too, but sadly you can't really see it on the nail, maybe at very extreme angles.  It's such a beautiful navy (which doesn't look totally black in dim lighting either - bonus), and the teal is a gorgeous compliment.  This is another perfect one coater as well, so I'm wearing one coat without top coat in the photo below.

I purchased the Leggy Legend Collection from Sparkle Canada, which I would highly recommend if you're in Canada (I'm not sure if they ship anywhere else).  I have no affiliation, but I wanted mention it since it was the first time I've ordered and the prices and fast shipping were great.

I hope you all enjoyed the post!  My picks would have to be Frock 'N Roll, Color Binge, and Bell-Bottom Blues, but it really is a great Fall collection.  I really enjoyed swatching them.

Are you an Essie fan?  Which one is your favorite?

Thank you for reading, as always! :)

  1. When you were removing them did you notice any staining? Especially with the blue one?

    1. None of them stain the nails, however the blue can get caught on your cuticles if you have any dry skin (as I noticed while cleaning around the cuticle with my brush dipped in acetone). It's extremely pigmented, so I'd just be careful how you apply & remove it and you should be fine! :)
