Essie 2015 Cashmere Matte Collection - Swatches & Review

Hi everyone!

Today, I'm very excited to share swatches of the new Cashmere Matte Collection from Essie with all of you.  I was so shocked when they showed up at my house unexpectedly, but ecstatic, of course.  Essie has always been one of my favorite brands, in fact it probably started my whole love of nail polish to begin with.  

The Cashmere Matte Collection consists of six gorgeous neutrals with a satin-matte finish.  Four of them have an intense duochrome shimmer, which is very noticeable on the nail in both matte and shiny finishes.

I created some festive poinsettia nail art, using a couple Lacc (La Couleur Couture) polishes from their new Holiday Collection.  They are kind of in the same style as my recent gradient flowers (but more detailed), and I also wanted to do something different than my poinsettias from last year, so I'm pretty happy with them!  View more photos, and a bit about how I created them after the jump!

Hi everyone!

Polished by KPT has a gorgeous new collection out - Cosmic XOdus (Part One), which consists of 10 amazing polishes in a similar style to the previous collection.  There are three thermals, two duochromes, and four glitters, totally perfect for the holidays, and so unique!  The collection will be restocked on December 15th, so check the bottom of the post for all the info!  I’ve got a lot of swatches to share with you, so I’ll just get right into it.

Cuticle Cleanup Routine (+ Video)

One of my most asked questions (and requested videos) always seems to be about how I achieve the perfect line of polish near my cuticles.  I've actually been asked many times if it's photoshopped even.

I think cleaning up a manicure is one of the most important parts of a manicure, and everyone should be adding this to their routine, if you haven't already.  I know this is not a new discovery for those of you who paint your nails as much as I do, but I thought I would get into to all the extra details here, including my preferred brushes and everything else I've learned from using this technique everyday.

Glam Polish Mid-Winters Dream Collection - Swatches & Review

Hello everyone! 

I have another gorgeous Glam Polish collection to share with you all today.  This is the Mid-Winters Dream Collection, and it's full of the most beautiful icy pastels, with lots of holo glitter and silver glass flecks.  I know for Australians they get to have Summer while we have an awful Winter here in Canada, so it definitely compliments both seasons.  That's very unique from all the other Holiday Collections that come out this time of year, I would say, and I love it.
