We finally have some lovely Spring weather here in Canada, so I couldn't be more excited to use the new Spring / Summer 2015 Collection from Lacc (La Couleur Couture) for my latest #WNAC2015 post.
The prompt for this week was Ikat. I haven't created any ikat nails for a while now, so I was pretty excited, and I wanted to design something unique but still have the ikat feel to it.
I started with the most gorgeous base, Lacc No. 1993, which is the most perfect peachy nude. It's so dreamy! Two coats plus top coat shown in the photo below.
For the ikat pattern, I used No. 1953 (pink), No. 1956 (peach), and No. 1976 (pastel mint), and a "Cotman 0000 Round" brush which I purchased at Michael's craft store.
I created the pattern on my index nail first, then decided I wanted to make each nail slightly different. I ended up using the same pattern, but switching up the color placement on each nail. Then, on the accent nail, I went with a slightly more traditional ikat / chevron style design. I topped them with the Matte Look top coat by Cirque Colors.
You should be able to find the gorgeous Lacc Spring / Summer 2015 Collection at laccbeauty.com soon. La couleur couture nail lacquers are also vegan and cruelty free, without any harsh chemicals or toxic ingredients, and are available in 710 Shoppers Drug Mart locations across Canada.
