#WNAC2015 - April / Pastel: Chevron Floral Nails

Monday, April 27, 2015
Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend.  I'm catching up on my last two #WNAC2015 posts for April, so you'll see two today, and they're both floral related!

For the Chevron prompt, I found this amazing pattern on Pinterest which combined chevron and florals, so I couldn't resist creating it on my nails.

I started with two coats of Essie Tuck It In My Tux, which is a really pretty off-white jelly, then while the base was drying I cut out some chevrons using a few pieces of green painters tape and a pair of pinking shears.  I placed the tape a third of the way down my nail, then once I painted over the tape with black polish, I separated some dried flowers from Born Pretty Store and added the petals to the tips of my nails.

I must say, I really enjoyed creating these, and wearing them!  They were so simple & fun, and I can't believe I had never tried the dried flowers before.  I finished the design with a bit of holo glitter (Ciate Confetti) on the accent nail, which looked amazing over Tuck It In My Tux.

I hope you all enjoyed this design; I'd love to know what you think in the comments below!

  1. I never tried dry flowers on nails, but yours look great and I like that you add them just on the tip of the nail!
